Yesterday was a great sunny day and we took Liam to the park to play! I talked Marc into walking and he happily obliged :)
It was a lot of fun and we had a great picnic lunch. I packed a springy salad and it was amazing!
I am finding on this plan I am completely satisfied if not full all day and its been so much easier at night not being starving.
My sister even invited me to meet her at a local pub for lunch on the patio but I was scared. I had lunch already and it was time for my snack but obviously the choices werent that healthy.
I ordered a half turkey sandwich on WW bread with no mayo and cranberry sauce. Added a side salad with Raspberry vinaigrette and it fell right in my calories. YAY for that!
Dinner was egg white and spinach wrap with some local green amazing salsa! added some local spicy sausage and grubbed down!
Then there was today …
Ever had those run days where you dont even want to blog about it?
I did today and its taking everything I have to write about it. Woke up and felt great. Its Marcs weekend off so I have a little more freedom and got to sleep in. It was going to be a nice day and perfect weather in morning so had my breakfast got ready slowly, begged Kellie to go with me. I think she felt bad for me and agreed.
The run was dumb as I mentioned in the title … started SO slow and on purpose. I knew we had 6 on plan and she hasnt done that much in a long time. My heel was feeling good so I didnt want to push it at all.
So much for that .. it started hurting right away and got worse with every start I had to after walking. I almost think it would have been better had I not kept stopping and starting to stay with the intervals. I am looking forward to moving up and running only to see if it makes a difference. Should be within the next few weeks.
When we stopped to take a gel and I had to reset my watch (cause i havent quite figured it all out yet) it was a bit longer than the 1 min walk break and starting up after 4 miles I thought I was going to have to quit. I didnt and pushed through and wouldnt you know it after icing/stretching/rolling I have no pain now so that is good.
It was great time with Kellie and I cant wait to cheer her on this week for her 5k!
Another good food day and completely on track! Its a good feeling.
Dinner was fish, pasta and veggies with some cottage cheese because I needed an extra protein.
Tomorrow will be tough, have a dinner event with my boss and hers. I am going to go look at the menu now and plan what I am going to have so there will be no surprises. I am also going to allow and count a drink so I dont look like the crazy one Should be fun and I will be ready for it!
I have also been on track with water and liquids …thats not so dumb and I am grateful for that!
How was your weekend?
I feel so bad for the Boston Marathon friends! I wish the ones running all the best and the ones who cant much love and prayers while they cheer!
